Lucinda Bulk Sugar Terminal Repair Works

Queensland Sugar Limited's 5.76km long jetty and bulk sugar loader located at Lucinda, suffered substantial damage as a result of cyclone Yasi in 2011. Whilst working closely alongside Abergelide Complex Infrastructure, the Lucinda Bulk Sugar Terminal is now restored back to its former functioning jetty. The Lucinda Bulk Sugar Terminal Repair Works project is a prime example of what we do best.

Nearly all of the works were carried out at heights, over water, up to 5.76 km out to sea, demolishing and repairing unstable, damaged structures, labour and equipment hire.

More than 18 months after the cyclone hit, the first ship to use the refurbished terminal was loaded with 27,000 tonnes of sugar on 28 August 2012.

"I personally met Nick's at the commencement of the project when he approached me regarding work. Once given the opportunity, he proved to be very capable and reliable in all areas of mechanical works, pipe fitting and boiler making.

Nicks experience and commitment to the project assisted us to achieve both time and quality goals on a challenging project. I therefore have no hesitation in recommending him for future works."
